Works great, and the music is fun. I just wish it did more!
What about a bomb that blows up some nearby blocks when you bump into it?

This is an awesome idea!
I wish I could turn the music off tho.
This is fun, I look forward to seeing how it develops. A couple of comments:
When running on the map screen and pushing directions on both the x and y axis, I get stuck on north and south walls. I can still move freely on east and west ones. For example, when moving up and right at the same time, if you hit a wall on the right you'll still move up, but if you hit a wall above you you won't move right even though there is room to move.
After you KO your enemy in the monster battles, the screen goes back to the map instantly. It would be cool if the battle screen stayed up for another ~2 seconds while your foe fell down / exploded / whatever. Especially if it happened in slow motion.
That is some great input. I will for sure fix those issues. I actually did have something worked out for the end of the battle. But, I broke it after I put in the capture mechanic and it's going to take a few days to fix.
Nice start! I played to about 50 points.
If you're looking to expand, I'd love to see some powerups (even if they only grant bonus points) and more obstacles appearing the farther I got.
One thing that would help a lot is a little few cool-down seconds after you click start so that your character isn't running up initially.
Ok! Will do. It's my first game, will release an even better game in a couple of weeks.
Works fine. Would be nice if the text wasn't selectable so that the cursor stays as an arrow. Very clean!
Thx for you responce. I'll take this into account for the future!
Fun game! Any chance I could move with WSDA?
Yeah...soon in the next version!
Solid base. I'd love to not be able to run off the edge of the screen, and jump with spacebar.
Done, thanks for the tips.
Visually, this game is amazing.
Mechanically, I found it tough but fair.
The closest thing to a complaint I have is that it is certainly repetitive. Some kind of upgrade tree or story could inspire me to push a little farther... but as is I still had a great time.
Thanks rekuchn!
We are aware the levels needs a lot of work!
but to make this in a game jam period was not simple so, in the rush, level design had not the iteration it should.
We'll have your suggestions in mind!
Thanks for playing again! :)
I didn't feel like there was a lot to do while I played, but I found the basic attack mechanic of connecting with the food on the tongue's way out and back pretty amusing.
Something to make the game more active would add a lot of value- maybe you can move a frog every so many seconds, maybe wherever your mouse cursor is there's a little slowdown effect on the floating food, etc.
The game's components fit together very smoothly!
This is really fun!
Simple idea executed with a lot of polish.
The only suggestion I'd make is that I found the tells kind of hard to notice at first. I'd like it if the attack indicators flashed or something, if only while your score was below a certain threshold. This could make it easier to ramp into the mechanics.
